The gravel road off the R103 leads up the most stunning scenery in the
Midlands. Swissland Cheese boasts award-wining
cheeses. Take samples of the wide range of cheeses and enjoy these palatable
purchases on the lawn with a beauitul view. If you are from the city then
it would be good idea to visit between 15h00 and 17h00 to view the milking
of the goats!
Marakesh Farm Cheese Visit the farm shop to sample or take part in a
tasting with one of the farm’s cheese makers. Cheeses include gorgonzola,
creamy chevin, halloumi, three different goudas, parmesan, pecorino, gorgonzola
and cottage cheese made from either pure goats’ milk or a blend of
goats’ and
cows’ milk. The feta is particularly good. You can also find homemade
jams, marmalades, pickles and spicy chutney.
